The best overall strategy in my opinion is to get the first attack and either Freeze or Possess 1 or more opponents. Life runes are always a waste of time for me because 2 of my 3 best monsters use Possession so many PVP battles end with me taking literally no damage at all (or getting stomped if my monsters miss when they try to Possess) but Life runes might be good for another team.Īnother choice is team vs individual runes. I always use 1 rune slot (of ONE monster on my team, not all 3) for a Team Stamina rune to give the whole team 1-2 extra attacks before they have to recharge. You might want to look at a Mmonster (or any monster) as 1/3 of a team and that can change things. It is the hardest decision to make in the game, by far. Unfortunately we only get 3 rune slots and any combination of runes will have its advantages and disadvantages. I wouldn't choose the 10% Dislike over a better attack. On the other hand, you can't use Dislikes every round. In general I'd say to never use a strength rune on a Mmonster because they don't boost its Dislike attacks. It didn't make sense at first - how can I steal more life from a monster than the monster has? So it must take some percentage of the monster's total life. I've used them on an opponent that had under 100 life points left but I stole 400 (or whatever). The life stealing attacks are similar to the dislike attacks. The Dislike moves take a percentage of the opponent's total life points, not the remaining life points.
